Day 1 Arrival in Ulan-Ude. Dinner. Departure to Lake Baikal. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel on Lake Baikal in the village of Goryachinsk.
Day 2 Breakfast. Excursion to Olkhon Island. We cross Baikal from the eastern side (Buryatia) to the western (Irkutsk region). We crossing the ice of Lake Baikal in its widest part. On the way we meet Baikal hummocks, ice grottoes, see real kilometer-long "stanovye cracks" and of course the purest and such a diverse Baikal ice! The way to Olkhon Island goes on the ice on a hovercraft (about 80-100 km one way). Upon arrival on Olkhon Island, we will organize a hot lunch right on the frozen Baikal! We will drive along Olkhon Island and visit the sacred and sacral places of Cape Khoboy and Cape Sagaan Khushun ("Three Brothers"). These places are known not only for their sacred significance, but also for their very picturesque landscapes. Back to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at a hotel on Lake Baikal in the village of Goryachinsk.
Day 3 Breakfast Full-day excursion "Beauty of the Chivyrkuisky Bay" Excursion to the picturesque Zabaikalsky National Park. Excursion to the visitor center "Zapovednoye Podlemorye". The next stop will be a sacred place near the Burtuy River in order to "pray": it is believed that the spirit-master of the peninsula lives here. The opportunity to swim in thermal springs, the water temperature will be about +40 degrees. Lunch on the territory of the national park (Baikal cuisine with the hot tea). We go up to the observation deck: from here you can admire the bay and the Barguzinsky ridge. We go out onto the thick Baikal ice and our expedition begins to the most beautiful caves and grottoes located on the islands of the bay with names: White Stone, Naked and Shaggy. Transparent ice, giant hummocks, bizarre icicles and sokuys - a real winter kingdom built by nature and lake Baikal. Departure to Ulan-Ude. Dinner. Accommodation in the hotel in Ulan-Ude.
Day 4 Early breakfast. Check-out. City tour. The tour program includes visits to the main attractions of the city, significant historical sites and monuments: Soviet Square, Lenin Monument, Zero Kilometer, Rosenstein Merchant House, Theater Square, Triumphal Arch, Ulan-Ude History Museum, a walk along the pedestrian street Arbat, Revolution Square, Merchant Kurbatov's Trading Rows of 1820, Holy Odigitrievsky Cathedral, Sobornaya Street, the founding place of Ulan-Ude. Excursion to Ivolginsky Datsan – the center of Buddhism in Russia, the residence of Pandito Khambo Lama. The Buddhist University “Dashi Choinkhorlin named after Damba Darzha Zayaev” operates at the datsan, where about 100 students-huvaraks are currently studying in four faculties: philosophy, tantric, iconography and medicine. The excursion begins with a walk around the sacred circle “goroo” on the territory of the datsan and the rotation of prayer drums “khurde”. You will visit several temples, including the main temple – Sogchen Dugan. Before leaving – time to visit the ethno-gallery of Asian Arts, buy souvenirs, medicinal herbs and religious paraphernalia.
